
BIANCO DI PITIGLIANO DOC
Production area
Near Montemerano (300mt above sea level) next to the Saturnia Spa, at the meeting point between the areas of the denomination of origin of Morellino di Scansano and Bianco di Pitigliano vineyards, both of which are Italian Maremma wines.
Grapes and their vinification
Late harvest at the beginning of November when the grapes are extremely ripe. Vinification is carried out by means of skinless controlled fermentation, using a classical blend of “Bianco di Pitigliano” grapes: Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Verdello.
Organoleptic test
COLOUR: clear, deep pale yellow.
BOUQUET : strong scent of ripe fruit
FLAVOUR: full-bodied, well rounded, a distinct character, well aged in terms of flavour and bouquet.
Production characteristics
GRAPE BLEND: Trebbiano, Malvasia, Verdello.
SUGAR CONTENT AT HARVEST: 18-24°.
ACIDITY: 6.
FERMENTATION: lively for 10-15 days.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13,5.
