When can I check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2:00 pm till 10:00 pm and check-out is by 11 noon.

Can I check-in earlier and check-out later?
Requests for early or late check-ins are accepted, according to availability. It is also possible to check-out late, according to availability, by paying 50% of the room price. If the hotel is fully booked we won't be able to satisfy your request. However, you can leave your luggage in our store room for no extra charge.

The hotel is open year round, except for some specific periods which vary from year to year. Please contact us for more information.
The Hotel and its amenities

Is breakfast included in the price and what sort of breakfast do you serve?
Yes, breakfast is included. We serve home-made cakes and jams, a savoury section with prosciutto, cheese, ricotta and eggs and a cereal section with 5 different cereals, fruit juices and hot drinks.

When is breakfast served?
The buffet breakfast is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 am daily.

How many floors does the Villa have and is there a lift?
Villa Acquaviva consists of 4 buildings. Three of them have 2 floors (ground and 1st floor) and the Villa has 3 floors (ground, 1st and 2nd floors). There is no lift available.

Is there internet access?
You will find Wi-Fi connection practically everywhere in the hotel grounds, for example in the lobby and in the park. Our rooms are not covered by Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi connection is free but not the fastest.

Does the Hotel have a covered car park or garage?
The hotel has free unguarded covered parking for its guests.

Does the hotel have safe-deposit boxes?
Yes, all rooms have them and there is also one for general use at the reception desk.

What languages are spoken at the reception desk?
Italian, English and French.

Are pets welcome?
There are special rooms (250 euros) where it's possible to host small or medium-sized pets. Pets are not allowed in the breakfast room, restaurant, swimming pool and internal communal areas. It is suggested to check availability and rates.

How can I make use of the special entrance agreement with the Terme di Saturnia Spa and Golf Resort?
Villa Acquaviva has 2 special entrance agreements for the Terme di Saturnia Spa and another for its Golf Resort. For conditions and prices please go to the Terme di Saturnia page.
You can ask to make use of the special agreements when booking or at the reception desk during your stay. -
When is the swimming pool open?
The swimming pool is open from April to the end of September, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Do you have bathrobes and slippers for the swimming pool?
You can rent individual bathrobes, but at present there are no pool slippers available.

How can we book the tennis court?
The court is free for Wine Resort guests who book from our website, while it costs 10 euros for those who book otherwise. For those who are not staying at Villa Acquaviva the price is 12 euros an hour.

Does the hotel offer half-board and if so, what does it include?
Yes, half board is offered and costs 50 euros per person. It includes a 3 course meal from the à la carte menu (drinks excluded). Conditions include a minimum 2-night stay and applies to the entire duration of your stay.

Is there a laundry service?
No, there is no laundry service but we can show you where the nearest laundry/ironing service is.

Is there a babysitting service?
On request, we can contact babysitters for you.

What do you mean by "an eco-friendly building"?
Villa Acquaviva has adhered to energy saving, recycling and, above all, waste reduction initiatives for many years now. This is only possible thanks to our clients who follow some simple rules (bed and bathroom linen use, reduced water and soap use, and correctly using the recycling bins) thus helping to make this beautiful place in Italy 'greener and better'. Since 2010 we have also been part of the Legambiente Tourism Circuit, attesting to our success in this field.
Booking, Payment and Cancellation

Can I pay on arrival?
You can pay for your stay on arrival although it is usually paid on departure.

Can I cancel or change my booking?
If you wish to cancel or change your booking you must inform us, as soon as possible, by phone or e-mail.
Our cancellation policy sets the following fees:- From the time of booking to 3 days before arrival, cancellation is free;
- Cancelling within 3 days of arrival: 100%
- No show: 100%
- Advanced departures: the whole booking must be paid.

How can I make a booking?
Bookings can be made by phone, e-mail, fax or directly via our online booking platform
At the time of booking, as a guarantee, credit card data will be requested via a NEXI secure system. Once confirmation has been received from NEXI of the validity of the data entered, the booking will be further confirmed. -
Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, American Express, Maestro and Debit cards but do not accept Diners.

What is your tipping policy?
Tips are gratefully accepted but not obligatory. They are generally seen as a way of saying thank you for having received satisfactory service.

Are your prices inclusive of taxes?
Yes, all our prices are inclusive of 10% VAT.
Council tax: €2 per person per night from March to the end of October for a maximum of 7 nights. Children under 14 don't pay the council tax.
Rooms

Does the hotel have any romantic, quiet and private rooms?
All our rooms are quiet and intimate, and furnished in a romantic and charming fashion with care given to colour arrangements. They also have wonderful views over the park.

Does the hotel have any rooms with a balcony?
The Deluxe rooms have either a balcony or veranda. There are 2 rooms with a balcony and 6 with a veranda.

Are there any bedrooms with jacuzzis?
Yes, there are rooms and suites with jacuzzis or with hydro massage showers.

Are there any rooms for smokers in the hotel?
There are no rooms for smokers within our structure.

Do your rooms have satellite TV with international channels?
All our rooms have satellite TV. Therefore, there is the choice of many international channels.

Do your rooms have direct call telephones?
Yes, our room phones have direct, external lines. We also have an agreement with a foreign operator for international calls.

Do the rooms have air-conditioning? Only in summer?
Yes, our rooms and communal areas have air conditioning. It is usually used from May to September.

Villa Acquaviva has 25 bedrooms that vary in size. They range from 13 to 40 square meters in size.

Does the hotel have a restaurant?
Yes, the hotel's restaurant is La Limonaia, which is open for dinner from March to the end of October. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Our restaurant is open to the public.

Yes, it's perfect for weddings, social functions, parties and special events. Conditions and prices can be discussed directly with the management.

Yes, it does. There is a seasonal and a traditional Maremman menu and each dish has symbols next to it, indicating if it is suitable for vegetarians, celiacs or lactose intolerant people.

Villa Acquaviva has a Wine Shop where you can buy all our products: wine, olive oil, honey, jams and vegetables.

Can you rent a car from the hotel?
Unfortunately, there are very few car hire companies in the area. In Grosseto, about 50 km from the hotel, you can find Hertz, Avis and other car hire companies.

The nearest airport is Fiumicino (FCO), 135 km away.

Do you have a transfer service from the airport to the hotel?
We do not have a transfer service. However, we can organise one via a NCC (car hire with driver) for approximately 200 euros.

The nearest station is Orbetello, 40 km away, although the largest nearby station is Grosseto, which is 52 km away.

The hotel does not have its own tourist guide but we have an agreement with a local agency which can provide this service with various conditions and prices.
